Stephen Morris – Senior Innovation Manager
Stephen Morris currently leads the Alba Innovation Centre’s specialist advisory and brings to the role more than 10 years experience in supporting companies to innovate, develop and commercialise their products and ideas into successful new businesses.
As a result developed extensive contacts among a wide range of technology industry influencers and partners with specialist knowledge, business investment contacts and appropriate university/education networks.
In addition to the provision of advisory services to a portfolio of tenant and virtual clients, Stephen will be responsible for the facilitation of client networking and market opportunity introductions and when required will be actively involved in deal making between clients and external networks. He will proactively manage networking between physical and virtual clients to further enhance the benefits of engaging with the service.
He has a wealth of experience gained within the Scottish investment arena where he worked widely with early stage technology companies providing investor readiness advice and support, helping them to secure funding from a wide range of both public and private sources. He understands the needs of young early stage businesses and is passionate in his desire to help them realise their potential.

Liza Sutherland – Innovation Advisor
Liza Sutherland has been a core advisor at Alba managing a strong portfolio of new start technology businesses for the last 3 years. She has huge enthusiasm and desire to support entrepreneurship and has a talent for motivating her clients to achieve more. As Liza is also a member of the Interactive Scotland Team, an SE initiative, this will enable her to use her industry knowledge, network and contacts to the benefit of client companies both within the Centre and the service.
Her focus will therefore particularly be on the development of a portfolio of clients and the provision of advisory services to those businesses with a particular focus or interest in the digital media and enabling technology sectors. Additionally Liza she will contribute to the important task of developing and distributing market intelligence including market research and routes to market for clients of the service.

Kevin Lonergan – Innovation Advisor
Kevin Lonergan brings a wealth of commercial acumen and extensive experience in raising investment to his role as an Adviser. In addition to the ongoing management of a portfolio of high growth clients Kevin will have responsibility for assisting with public and private sector funding packages and will manage and co-ordinate a number of legal and accountancy events. He will undertake commercial and technical appraisal of the business/product, assessing their needs with a view to formulating and implementing strategies for growth and competitiveness. Areas covered include; business planning and financial modelling, business funding, taxation, marketing analysis, strategy, financial control, people management and development and legal compliance.

Michelle Hutcheson – Reception Manager
Michelle is the first point of contact at Alba Innovation Centre. She plays a key role in managing the client services for the Centre in terms of switchboard facilities, visitor greeting, room bookings, finance and office services. Michelle also manages the client accommodation within the Centre dealing with tenant movements in and out of the Centre as well as expansions. Communication is a key factor in Michelle’s role and she supports the marketing team through event marketing, social media and client communications for the Centre.
Michelle has a wealth of experience in the technology sector having started up and managed a music business. She is very business focussed and this wealth of experience helps her understand and deal with the requirements of an early stage technology business.

Colin Gardiner – Facilities Assistant
Colin heads up the facilities management operation within Alba Innovation Centre, liaising with contractors, implementing and checking health and safety procedures and undertaking the preventative or rectification maintenance for the building as and when required. Colin has a keen interest in environmental aspects involved in managing the building.
Colin also supports Michelle on reception, handling telephone enquiries for the Centre as well as visitor enquiries. Colin has worked in another two Scottish based business centres where he has carried out a range of administration and facilities roles.
